Road-safety funds

I refer to the drip-feeding of Budget details by the Labor Government (report, 6/5) and I was thinking how good it would be if Dr Gallop could announce an injection of funds into the road-safety campaign to combat the carnage on our roads. Giving 100 per cent of revenue raised by speed cameras, as promised before the last election, would be a good starting point.

I am sure nobody would mind the Minister for Police and even the Police Commissioner standing behind Dr Gallop nodding their heads while he announces that they will at least try to do something positive, other than buying more Multanovas.
